Carlo Ancelotti, the legendary Italian coach of Real Madrid, has spoken about Cristiano Ronaldo, calling him the best player he has ever coached. The 39-year-old Portuguese forward, currently playing for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, recently claimed that he is the greatest footballer of all time.
Ancelotti, who managed Ronaldo during his first spell at Real Madrid (2013-2015), responded to these comments in an interview with Sport.es, saying:
“Cristiano marks a whole era in football. He was the best for me. Ronaldo helped me find peace on the Real Madrid bench with his goals.”
Ronaldo’s Legendary Career Continues
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored an astonishing 923 goals in his professional career, making him one of the greatest goal scorers in football history. During his time at Real Madrid, he won multiple Champions League titles, Ballon d’Or awards, and became the club’s all-time leading scorer.
Even at 39 years old, Ronaldo continues to dominate, now playing in the Saudi Pro League for Al Nassr. His legacy remains unmatched, and his former coach Ancelotti clearly holds him in the highest regard.
