Cristiano Ronaldo Mocked by Man Utd Fan Fighter After UFC Saudi Arabia Clash
Cristiano Ronaldo found himself on the wrong side of a friendly jab after UFC Saudi Arabia, as British MMA star Michael ‘Venom’ Page teased the football legend for backing his opponent, Shara Magomedov.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner had shown his support for Magomedov earlier in the week, meeting the Dagestani fighter at Al-Nassr’s training ground and even signing a jersey for him. However, things didn’t go as planned for Magomedov, as he suffered a decision loss to Page in Saturday’s showdown.
MVP’s Message to Ronaldo
After the fight, Page, a lifelong Manchester United supporter, playfully called out Ronaldo for his choice of allegiance.
“I actually didn’t see him. But he was definitely in the wrong corner,” Page joked during his post-fight press conference. “But he needs to come back to me, the Man Utd supporter, by the way. Next time he might make a better decision.”
Man Utd Struggles & Ronaldo’s Take
Page also took a moment to comment on Manchester United’s ongoing struggles under new manager Ruben Amorim. He referenced Ronaldo’s past criticisms of the club’s management, suggesting the Portuguese icon had ideas on how to fix things.
“It’s difficult [for Amorim]. You see Ronaldo talks about it himself,” Page said. “He even spoke briefly about [being] in charge of the club—he’d know exactly where he would make new decisions.”
Ronaldo, who has been vocal about United’s issues in the past, might want to rethink his UFC allegiances next time.
