Josh Allen Named 2024 NFL MVP, Headlining Annual Awards

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been named the NFLโ€™s Most Valuable Player for the 2024 season, marking the first MVP award of his career. The 27-year-old beat out Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, last year’s winner, in a tightly contested race.

Despite finishing as the MVP runner-up in 2020 and 2022, Allen finally claimed the honor after an exceptional season that showcased his dual-threat ability, leadership, and improved ball security.

Allenโ€™s MVP-Winning Season

๐Ÿˆ Passing touchdowns: 28
๐Ÿˆ Rushing touchdowns: 12
๐Ÿˆ First QB with multiple passing & rushing TDs in back-to-back games
๐Ÿˆ First QB to record a passing, rushing, and receiving TD in a single game
๐Ÿˆ Led Buffalo to a 13-4 record & sixth straight playoff appearance

Allenโ€™s biggest growth this season came in his decision-making, as he posted career lows in interceptions, sacks, and fumbles, helping Buffalo remain among the AFCโ€™s elite. However, their Super Bowl hopes were once again dashed by Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, who defeated them in the AFC Championship Game.
