Warriors’ Jimmy Butler Returns from Injury, Scores 13 Points Against Hornets

After missing Saturday’s 126-119 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers due to right mid-back spasms, Jimmy Butler returned to the Golden State Warriors’ lineup on Monday night against the Charlotte Hornets.
Butler’s Impact in His Return
Playing 31 minutes, Butler scored 13 points on 3-of-7 shooting, adding four assists, three rebounds, and one steal. While his scoring was modest, he continued his trademark aggression by getting to the free-throw line six times and converting all six attempts.
Warriors’ Success with Butler
With Butler in the lineup, the Warriors improved to 8-1 this season. He has been a consistent offensive contributor since arriving from the Miami Heat, scoring 13 or more points in seven of his nine games with Golden State. So far, he’s averaging 16 points per game with his new team.
The Warriors will look to build on Butler’s return as they continue their road trip and push for better playoff positioning in the Western Conference.
