76ers Snap Losing Streak with Thrilling Win Over Cavaliers, 132-129

Paul George scored 30 points and Tyrese Maxey added 29 as the Philadelphia 76ers broke their seven-game losing streak with a 132-129 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night.

The game was a back-and-forth thriller, featuring 18 ties and 30 lead changes. Philadelphia had a strong all-around performance, with all five starters scoring in double figures. Rookie Justin Edwards contributed 15 points off the bench, and Kelly Oubre Jr. (22 points), Eric Gordon (15 points), and Guerschon Yabusele (12 points, 13 rebounds) also played pivotal roles.

For Cleveland, Ty Jerome had a historic outing, scoring a career-high 33 points, including an impressive 8-for-8 from 3-point range. Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers with 37 points, and Darius Garland added 26 points and seven assists.

Jerome’s back-to-back 3-pointers gave Cleveland a 116-110 lead with just over six minutes left. However, the 76ers responded with 13 unanswered points, taking an eight-point lead late in the game. Despite a last-second heave from Mitchell to tie it, the Cavaliers fell short as Philadelphia held on for the win.


Grizzlies Down Pelicans, 139-126, for Fifth Straight Win

Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 29 points and dished out seven assists, while Luke Kennard added a season-high 27 points as the Memphis Grizzlies topped the New Orleans Pelicans, 139-126, extending their win streak to five games.

Desmond Bane also contributed 20 points and 14 assists, marking his seventh straight game with at least 20 points. Memphis improved to 18-5 at home with the victory.

For New Orleans, Dejounte Murray led the way with 26 points, seven assists, and six rebounds, while CJ McCollum and Trey Murphy III each scored 22 points.


Trail Blazers Overcome Slow Start to Defeat Hornets, 102-97

Anfernee Simons scored 12 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter, leading the Portland Trail Blazers to a 102-97 win over a shorthanded Charlotte Hornets team.

Jerami Grant added 22 points, while Deni Avdija contributed 18 points. Shaedon Sharpe and Toumani Camara chipped in with 13 and 11 points, respectively, as the Trail Blazers overcame a rough shooting performance to secure their fourth consecutive win.

Nick Smith Jr. led the Hornets with 17 points, while Josh Okogie posted a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Mark Williams added 15 points and nine rebounds in the loss.
