ATLANTA – The Atlanta Hawks have announced a trade with the LA Clippers, acquiring guards Terance Mann and Nah’Shon “Bones” Hyland in exchange for guard Bogdan Bogdanovic and three second-round draft picks.
“We’ve admired Terance for a long time, both as a player and as a person,” said Hawks General Manager Landry Fields. “He brings high-level competition and is a legitimate two-way player who will strengthen our roster.
We also want to express our gratitude to Bogi for the passion and dedication he showed during his four and a half years with the Hawks. We wish him the best moving forward.”
Mann, 26, has played in 37 games this season, starting in 12, and is averaging 6.0 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 19.8 minutes. On November 27, Mann recorded a career-high four steals in a win over the Wizards, and on January 20, he scored 12 points against the Chicago Bulls.
Over his career, Mann has played 382 games, starting in 168, with averages of 8.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game. He’s known for his solid shooting efficiency, with a .498 field goal percentage and .371 shooting from three-point range.
Mann, a second-round pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, has also made his mark in the postseason, averaging 6.0 points and 2.4 rebounds in 16.9 minutes per game over four playoff appearances.
Hyland, 23, has appeared in 20 games this season, averaging 7.2 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 11.1 minutes. Drafted 26th overall in the 2021 NBA Draft by the Denver Nuggets, Hyland has played in 182 career games with averages of 9.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists. Known for his scoring ability, Hyland has a solid shooting percentage of .398 from the field and .364 from beyond the arc.
Bogdanovic, who was signed by the Hawks in November 2020, has been a key contributor over his five seasons with the team. He played in 264 games, starting in 96, with averages of 15.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists in 29 minutes per game.
Notably, he ranks fifth in Hawks’ franchise history in made three-pointers with 745 and holds the franchise record for the most three-pointers in a single season, with 240 during the 2023-24 campaign. This season, he was averaging 10.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game.
This trade brings fresh energy to the Hawks’ backcourt, with Mann’s defensive prowess and Hyland’s scoring potential joining the team. For the Clippers, the acquisition of Bogdanovic adds a veteran presence and one of the league’s most consistent three-point shooters to their roster.
