Bucks Make Bold Move, Acquire Kevin Porter Jr. from Clippers in Exchange for MarJon Beauchamp

The Milwaukee Bucks have made a significant move to bolster their roster, acquiring guard/forward Kevin Porter Jr. from the LA Clippers in exchange for forward MarJon Beauchamp.

Porter Jr., a versatile 6-foot-4 guard/forward, has played in 241 career games (148 starts) over five seasons with the Clippers (2024-25), Rockets (2020-23), and Cavaliers (2019-20). Throughout his NBA career, he has averaged 14.2 points, 4.7 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.1 steals in 28.3 minutes per game.

Prior to joining the Clippers, Porter Jr. played for the Greek club PAOK during the 2023-24 season, where he posted impressive numbers—22.0 points, 9.3 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 2.8 steals per game in 38.0 minutes. His skillset made him one of only eight NBA players from 2020-2023 to average at least 15 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, and two three-pointers per game.

A Seattle native and USC product, Porter Jr. was initially drafted by the Bucks with the No. 30 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, making his return to Milwaukee a notable development for the team.

In exchange for Porter Jr., the Bucks have traded forward MarJon Beauchamp, who was in his third season with the team. Beauchamp was drafted by Milwaukee with the 24th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Over his 126 career games (12 starts) with the Bucks, he has averaged 4.2 points and 2.0 rebounds in 11.4 minutes per game.

This trade marks a new chapter for both players as the Bucks look to deepen their roster and add another dynamic player to their lineup. Porter Jr.’s all-around skillset and experience could provide Milwaukee with the scoring, playmaking, and defensive versatility they need to contend for a championship.
