Giannis Antetokounmpo Makes NBA History, Moves into Top 53 All-Time Scorers List
On Saturday night, Giannis Antetokounmpo put on an impressive performance in the Milwaukee Bucks’ game against the LA Clippers, not only leading his team but also making history.
Antetokounmpo finished the game with 30 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 block, shooting 10-for-18 from the field in his first 29 minutes of action. His performance helped the Bucks continue their strong run, but it was his scoring milestone that turned heads.
As reported by Eric Nehm of The Athletic, Giannis has now surpassed Bernard King (19,655 career points) to climb to No. 53 on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. At just 30 years old, the two-time MVP has plenty of time to continue climbing the rankings.
The next milestone for Antetokounmpo is Hall of Famer John Stockton, who sits just ahead with 19,711 points.
Entering the game, Antetokounmpo was averaging 31.3 points, 12.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting an impressive 60.3% from the field across 36 games. He was also recently named a starter for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game, adding to his accolades of 9 All-Star appearances and 9 All-Star starts.
The Bucks, who had a slow start to the season, have regained their momentum in recent weeks. With a current 25-17 record, they sit as the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference, having gone 8-2 in their last ten games. They’re also riding a four-game winning streak.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, the 15th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, has spent his entire Hall of Fame-worthy career with the Milwaukee Bucks, and at this pace, his legacy is only growing stronger.
