NBA and FIBA Announce the 9th Annual Basketball Without Borders Global Camp During All-Star Weekend
The 9th Annual Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Global Camp is set to take place from February 14-16 at the Golden State Valkyries Performance Center, marking a highlight of NBA All-Star 2025. Supported by Nike, this prestigious event will bring together 40 of the top high-school-age basketball prospects from around the world.
These young talents will take part in on-court development, 5-on-5 games, and life-skills programming designed to help them grow both as players and individuals.
Guided by prominent figures from the NBA Coaching Development Program, including Juan Dixon, Yolanda Moore, Damon Jones, and Emeka Okafor, the camp offers a unique opportunity for the next generation of basketball stars to hone their skills under expert mentorship.
Originally established in 2001, the Basketball Without Borders program, in partnership with FIBA, has become a global force for basketball development and community outreach. The initiative strives to unite young players through the love of basketball, while promoting positive social change in the realms of education, health, and wellness.
The event will feature several exciting live-streamed games during All-Star Weekend, accessible on the NBA App, NBA.com, and the @NBA YouTube channel:
- 11:00 a.m. PT (2:00 p.m. ET) – 2nd Seed vs 3rd Seed Game
- 11:35 a.m. PT (2:35 p.m. ET) – 3rd Place Game
- 12:10 p.m. PT (3:10 p.m. ET) – Championship Game
The 1st Seed vs. 4th Seed Game will be held off air.
The complete roster of campers will be revealed next week, with past BWB participants making significant marks in the NBA. Since its inception, 116 BWB campers have gone on to play in the league, including 27 current NBA players who once took part in the Global camp.
Among the standout campers from last year’s event were Illinois freshman guard Will Riley, who was named MVP, and Duke freshman big man Khaman Maluach, who earned both Playoff and Defensive MVP honors.
This year’s BWB Global Camp promises to continue its legacy, showcasing the future of basketball while inspiring young athletes across the world.
