New England Patriots Executive Robyn Glaser to Resign After 18 Years with the Team

Robyn Glaser, the New England Patriots’ executive vice president of football business, has informed the team of her plans to resign after 18 years of service, according to sources close to the organization. Glaser, one of the highest-ranking executives within the franchise, will continue to work through mid-February, leaving a significant void in the team’s leadership during a crucial period of transition under new head coach Mike Vrabel.

Glaser joined the Patriots in 2007 as a senior adviser to ownership and club counsel, at the start of the NFL’s investigation into the Patriots’ “Spygate” scandal, which resulted in the team losing their first-round draft pick. Over the years, Glaser steadily rose through the ranks, becoming vice president in 2011, senior vice president in 2018, and senior vice president of business affairs and chief administrative officer of football in 2022.

Throughout her tenure, Glaser was responsible for overseeing league business and legal relations, including compliance. In 2024, her role expanded as she became a senior adviser to former head coach Jerod Mayo. Glaser also managed football department budgets, expenditures, and capital expenses, as well as business and technology agreements.

In a March interview for Women’s History Month, Glaser expressed pride in her work with the Kraft family and emphasized how the variety of her responsibilities kept her motivated. “What keeps me inspired is the variety of work that I do,” she said. “I’m very honored to work for the [Kraft] family and organization, take a lot of pride in that, and take that very seriously.”

Players like former safety Devin McCourty and defensive lineman Deatrich Wise Jr. credited Glaser with supporting their off-field initiatives, including charitable foundations and social justice causes.

The Patriots, coming off back-to-back 4-13 seasons, now face the challenge of finding their third head coach in as many years — a rare occurrence in the franchise’s history. Glaser’s departure marks the beginning of significant changes within the highest levels of the organization, making this a pivotal moment for the team’s future.

Before joining the Patriots, Glaser held a senior position at EMI Recorded Music, further adding to her extensive experience in leadership roles.
