Snoop Dogg Roasts Bill Belichick and More at NFL Honors, Faces Backlash for Trump Performance

Snoop Dogg kept the crowd in stitches at the NFL Honors ceremony on Thursday (Feb. 6) with his signature humor, but one joke aimed at Bill Belichick and the coach’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, stole the show.

As the rapper kicked off the pre-Super Bowl award ceremony in New Orleans, Snoop wasted no time cracking jokes. He targeted Belichick, the legendary former New England Patriots coach, by poking fun at the age gap between the 72-year-old NFL icon and his 24-year-old partner.

“I’ve been a football fan for a long, long time,” Snoop began. “I mean, I remember back when the Cowboys were good. I remember back when the Chiefs were bad… Bill Belichick’s girlfriend wasn’t even born yet!”

The crowd erupted with laughter as cameras cut to Belichick and Hudson, who could be seen in stunned silence with mouths agape. Meanwhile, Belichick, now the head coach of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill football team, reacted with a smile and a small eye roll.

Snoop’s playful jab at the coach was the highlight of his opening monologue, but he wasn’t done yet. He went on to gently roast the two NFL teams vying for Super Bowl glory, quipping, “It’s going to be an incredible Super Bowl between the Eagles and the refs.” He also took jabs at NFL stars Josh Allen, Sam Darnold, and Joe Burrow, keeping the audience laughing throughout.

However, Snoop’s appearance at the NFL Honors ceremony also comes amidst controversy. The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper is still facing backlash for performing at Donald Trump’s Crypto Ball during the former president’s inauguration in January.

While Snoop has kept relatively quiet about the criticism, he recently responded on Instagram, saying, “For all the hate I’m going to answer with love.”

Snoop added, “Get your life right, stop worrying about mine. I’m cool. I’m together. Still a Black man. Still 100 percent Black. All out ’til you ball out or ’til you fall out.”

The NFL Honors ceremony, marked by Snoop’s memorable monologue and his defiant stance on the backlash, surely set the stage for an unforgettable Super Bowl weekend.
